Warren County Aging 911 Phone System Replaced

As a result of ARPA Funding, our 911/Dispatch Center was able to replace our aging phone system with a Zetron MAX Call-Taking Next Generation 9-1-1 telecommunications system. The Zetron MAX CT offers a full range of features and functionality including: intelligent user interface, automatic call recovery, low power consumption, high reliability and cost-effective scalability, digital end-to-end IP, and remote access and maintenance.

This is a three phase project. The first phase was completed two weeks when the A & W Communications team was on site installing and replacing the old system with the new Call Taking software.

The second phase is the integration of our locally maintained ESRI mapping program. This allows Dispatchers to plot callers on our local map when processing GPS enabled cell phone calls. This information is crucial to every Emergency, enabling Responders to find the Emergency more efficiently.

The third and final stage will be the ability to receive TEXT to 911 calls from cell phone users. Once this final component is in place the project will be complete - we will put out more content on this feature after the installation and testing.

Thank you to the Warren County Commission and the Warren County CARES/ARPA Advisory Committee for providing these funds.
